PMAP leader shot dead

QUETTA, July 4: A local leader of Pushtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP), Dr Abdul Samad Achakzai, was killed when his vehicle was reportedly ambushed near Chaman on Tuesday. His Levies guard was also killed in the attack.

Two other people travelling with Dr Samad were injured, police said. They were identified as Suleman Shah and Umar Shah and admitted to the Chaman civil hospital.

Dr Achakzai was on his way to Chaman from Pishin after attending hearing of a case when gunmen opened fire at his vehicle near Garang, some 7km from Chaman.
