ISLAMABAD, July 3: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) is to sponsor the England-based Carla Khan for this month's Hong Kong Open. Sqd. Ldr. M. Zahid Qureshi, secretary of the PSF said that Carla will be going for the championship directly from England.

Carla was in Pakistan last month for the National Women's Championship in Bhurban, a title she won by defeating Maria Toor in the final.

Meanwhile, the women's training camp in preparation for the South Asian Games resumed at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Monday.

Five players — Aliya Sarfraz, Zeba Pervez, Muqaddas Ashraf, Misbah Rani and Zoya Khalid —reported on the first day.

Maria Toor is to join training on Tuesday.

The camp will continue till the start of the Games in August.
