QUETTA: Train services from Quetta to various parts of the country have been suspended, railway officials announced on Saturday, citing unavoidable reasons for the suspension.

The disruption left the Jaffar Express, scheduled for Peshawar, unable to depart and caused the incoming Jaffar Express to Quetta to be redirected back from Jacobabad.

Railway authorities confirmed that the Bolan Mail service from Quetta to Karachi has already been halted. Additionally, train services from Quetta to Chaman are currently suspended.

Train services in Balochistan have faced repeated suspensions over the past two years, largely because of terrorist attacks on railway infrastructure, security operations and sabotage of tracks in remote areas linking Quetta with the rest of Pakistan.
