ISLAMABAD: The district administration of Islamabad has decided to establish six cattle markets for Eidul Azha.
The administration said the cattle markets will be established in Zia Masjid, I-12 and Bara Kahu. Besides, markets will also be established at Latrar Road, Sultana Foundation, Sangjani and Japan Road.
The establishment of markets will be implemented at all six points from May 10.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon has directed to complete parking, sanitation and security arrangements around these markets. Complaints of charging fees in excess of the notified rate in the market will be redressed immediately, he added.
A magistrate will be present on duty at every market at all times, he said, directed to formulate a special strategy with the traffic police to ensure traffic flow on the highways adjacent to the market.
The sale and purchase of animals at any point in the city other than the market will be strictly prohibited.
