FIA arrest two ‘swindlers’

LAHORE, July 1: The FIA’s Anti-Cyber Crime Unit claimed on Saturday to have arrested two people and recovered 13 forged foreign credit cards from their possession.

ACU Assistant Director Ziaul Islam said that Zahoor Amin, a Spanish national of Pakistani origin, and Saad Sarwar had obtained the credit cards of City Bank of US, Bank of America and Berkley Bank of the UK, and tampered with them in order to draw huge sums illegally.

On a tip-off, he said, an FIA team raided their hideout in Iqbal Town and arrested them. A case has been registered against the accused. Mr Islam said the ACU had also arrested one Ashraf for forging two credit cards of a South African bank.

FIA Director Chaudhry Manzoor announced cash and certificates for the raiding team.
