QUETTA, July 1: A spokesman for Bugti tribesmen Wadera Alam Khan Bugti has claimed that at least 15 security personnel were killed and a helicopter was brought down during heavy fighting in Pind Nullah near Sui on Friday night and Saturday.

Talking to newsmen at the Quetta Press Club on phone from an undisclosed location, he said that security forces were using helicopter gunships in the operation which continued for two days in different areas of Dera Bugti.

He claimed that two security officials were seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Nilam area of Dera Bugti while armed clashes were reported from Daman, Ghori, Siha Dari, Marwar and Bhambhoor area between security forces and tribesmen.

However, official sources refuted the claim of the Bugti spokesman.
