Man killed, cousin injured over enmity in Kanju

SWAT: A man was killed, and his cousin sustained injuries in a firing incident in the jurisdiction of Kanju police station here on Monday.

The police registered an FIR of the incident, which occurred on Segram Road near Speerko Kundo.

The complainant, Farid, a resident of Kozha Bandi, reported that he and his cousin, identified as Sadray, were travelling in a car to attend a funeral gathering when they were ambushed.

According to the FIR, armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle, killing Sadray on the spot and injuring Farid.

The suspects were identified as Abdul Malik and his sons, residents of Hiroshah Segram, along with an unidentified accomplice.

The body was shifted to the hospital for a postmortem.

Authorities have stated that the motive behind the attack appears to be enmity.
