TAXILA: Four persons, including a woman, were killed in three road accidents reported in various parts of Attock on Sunday, police and rescue officials said.

In the first incident, two persons were shot dead while another was injured over a parking issue at the tomb of a local saint in the Gharsheen area, within the limits of Hassanabdal Police Station.

Police said the suspect exchanged hot words with one of the victims over a parking issue during the urs of Peer Sakhawat Shah. The suspect called his father and two other relatives to teach him a lesson. When they reached, the accused, along with his companions, attacked the victims. When Sajjad Shah and Asad Ali came to rescue him, the assailants opened fire, killing them on the spot. The four assailants managed to escape from the scene.

Separately, a woman lost her life while three others were injured in a collision between an oil tanker and a car on Kohat Road near College Mor.

Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man was killed and another injured when a speeding car went out of control and crashed into a road divider near a police post on GT Road in Burhan.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Hussain, who died on the spot due to severe injuries. The injured, 38-year-old Aurangzeb, was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital by Rescue 1122 personnel. Both victims were reported to be residents of Jhang district.

Respective police registered three separate cases and launched further investigations.
