ISLAMABAD, June 30: Pakistan on Friday relaxed visa policy for Indian citizens offering them a maximum two-year staying facility.

However, India has not been included in the list of 175 countries whose citizens can seek different categories of visa under the new policy announced by Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao at a press conference.

“We have not included India in the list, but Indian citizens will avail all visa facilities offered to other nations,” said Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah.

He said that under new rules Indian civil society members, senior citizens, widows and divorcees, could get two-year visa instead of the existing three-month staying facility.

The revised policy allows Indian group tourists 30-day visa instead of the existing 14 days.

The minister said that Indian nationals, their number not less than 10, would be issued pilgrim visa to visit shrines in Pakistan for 15 days against the existing five days.

In order to encourage the Indian business community, ‘business visa’ will be issued to them.
