Brazil wait on trio

FRANKFURT, June 30: Brazil midfielders Emerson and Kaka, who have been treated for pain in their right knees, completed a practice session with the team on Friday.

Striker Robinho, Brazil's other worry, also took part in a light kickabout on the pitch at the Waldstadion, venue for Saturday's quarter-final against France.

However, the team doctors said it was too early to say whether the trio will be available for the game.

“Team doctor Jose Luis Runco said he will wait to see how the players react before deciding whether they can take part in the game against France,” said the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on its official website.

Emerson and Kaka suffered identical injuries during Tuesday's 3-0 second round win over Ghana, were substituted and have since been undergoing intensive physiotherapy.
