GUHAR KHAN: Over 300 kiosks of small traders have been razed to rubble in Gujar Khan to clear the way for the construction of two underpasses approved by the Punjab government.

On the other hand, the vendors who were running their cheap merchandise pin find themselves deprived of means of earning, and they pin hopes on the government to relocate their ‘Sasta Bazaar’ to suitable locations in the town.

The tehsil administration to clear space for the construction of two underpasses and the proposed widening of the dual carriageway in Gujar Khan had given an ultimatum to these traders to clear their merchandise and belongings by April 23.

The panicked vendors started vacating their kiosks voluntarily.
