ISLAMABAD, June 30: Pakistan and Cuba have underlined the need to further strengthen their bilateral relations, particularly trade and economic ties.
This was stated by Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro during a meeting with Cuban Ambassador Gustavo Machin Gomez, who called on him here on Friday.
Mr Gomez informed him about next summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which would be held in Cuban capital Havana in September this year.
Welcoming the Cuban envoy, the Senate chairman said Pakistan attached importance to its relations with Cuba and there existed a great potential to improve trade links between the two countries.
