LAHORE: A young motorcycle rider was hospitalised in a critical condition soon after a car driven zigzag ran him over in DHA here the other day.

A video clip of the incident spotted the dangerously-driven car dragging Saifur Rehman on the road. He suffered multiple skull and bone fractures besides neurological damages.

A police official declared the incident a result of racing saying that the young drivers used to perform stunts on the DHA roads.

A majority of them was the children of rich families and they used to drive at 120km speed, risking lives of road users.

He said the Defence A police lodged a case against the unknown car rider on the complaint of the injured man’s brother.

Police teams were taking help of Safe City cameras to track down the car, he said adding the condition of the injured man was said to be critical.
