Narrow win for Zone-VII

KARACHI, June 29: Zone-VII pulled off a narrow 12-run victory over Zone-I in a high-scoring match of the PCB Inter-district Karachi region cricket tournament on Thursday.

Chasing 325, Zone-I were bowled out for 312 in the penultimate over of the match. Opener Ainan Arif, son of ex-Test wicket-keeper Taslim Arif, however excelled with a fine 100 off 159 balls.

In another match, Zone-IV defeated Zone-VI by three wickets on the last day of the two-day fixture.

Zone-IV beat Zone-VI by three wickets at KCCA stadium.
