KHUZDAR/QUETTA: Three police personnel, including a female constable, were killed and six others injured in separate armed attacks in Khuzdar and Mastung districts on Sunday, officials said.

The first attack took place during a police raid led by Additional Station House Officer (SHO) of Baghbana police station to arrest suspects. Unknown armed men ambushed the team, triggering a firefight that left two police constables dead and two others injured, officials reported.

“A lady police constable and another constable were martyred in the firing,” a senior police officer stated.

The injured, including Additional SHO Ibrahim Sheikh, were taken to Khuzdar hospital. The deceased were identified as Lady Constable Malik Naz and Constable Sami Ullah.

In a separate incident in the Dasht Kmeela area of Mastung district, a member of the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) was killed and four others were injured during a heavy exchange of fire with terrorists.

The deceased officer was identified as Rehmat Khan, and the injured were transported to a civil hospital.

Officials indicated that the terrorists suffered casualties, but details were not immediately available.

An incident was also reported on Saturday night in the Sheikh Wasil area of Mastung district, where security personnel on routine patrol retaliated to an attack, resulting in the deaths of two armed assailants. Their bodies were moved to the civil hospital in Quetta.
