Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing all issues in a call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, the Foreign Office says.

In a statement, the FO says that FM Dar spoke with his Egyptian counterpart this evening.

“They discussed key current developments in the regional situation, including the situation in the Gaza Strip,” it added.

During the call, FM Dar emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing all issues, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and constructive engagement, it stated.

“Both leaders expressed hope for a successful next round of talks between Iran and the United States for achieving a durable peace in the region and beyond, and agreed to remain in contact,” the FO said.
