RAWALPINDI, June 29: Four robbers raided a house in Police Foundation Colony Sihala and looted Rs25,000 cash and gold ornaments, police said on Thursday. Saleem Khan, a senior official of OGDC, told Sihala police that an unidentified person rang the door bell of his house at night. When the door was opened, the robbers forcibly entered and held the inmates at gunpoint. They then looted Rs25,000, and gold ornaments whose value was yet to be ascertained and escaped after locking the family inside.

Meanwhile, the Airport police on Thursday found a body of a cab driver who had been missing since Wednesday, police said.

Sheraz Ahmed, a resident of Sihala, left his house in his cab (RIP-6336) but did not return. The following day a passer-by saw an abandoned taxi in which the driver was lying dead and informed the police.— Staff Reporter
