A spokesman from the Iranian Defence Ministry says the Strait of Hormuz is “only open under ceasefire conditions and conditionally”, Al Jazeera reports according to Iran’s Fars News Agency.
Fars quoted Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik as saying that “military vessels and those affiliated with hostile forces do not have the right to pass through the Strait of Hormuz”.
The spokesman also said that the current situation in the strait is “temporary” and the waterway could be closed again if the situation changes in Lebanon, according to Fars.
