LAHORE: A 40-member contingent will represent Pakistan in the sixth Asian Beach Games being held in Sanya, China from April 22 to 30, the Pak­istan Olympic Association (POA) annou­nced on Thursday.

According to the POA, the contingent comprises 27 athletes, six coaches and seven officials.

Pakistan will compete in athletics, handball, ju-jitsu, kabaddi, triathlon and wrestling events at the continental gala, the POA added.

Contingent:

Ju-jitsu: Shahzaib, Ambreen Tariq, Liaquat (players); Liaqat Ali (coach).

Athletics: Faiqa Riaz, Tameen Khan, Samiullah (athletes), Rafique Ahmed (coach).

Handball: Mudassar Shahzad, Kashif Ali, Asif Ali Sr, Asif Ali Jr, Imran Khan, Hazrat Hussain, Shahid Bashir, Muaaz Ali, Ahmad Hassan Baig, Mohammad Saim, (players); Azhar-ul-Haq (coach).

Kabaddi: Kashif Razzaq, Farhan Ali, Usman Ahmad, Mohammad Zohaib Niaz, Mohammad Jamshaid, Waqar Ali (players); Rahat Maqsood Ali, Badshah Gul (coaches).

Triathlon: Hamza Asif, Ayesha Waqas, Abdul (players); Abdul Ghaffar Gujar (coach).

Wrestling: Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Asadullah, Mohammad Inam, Mohammad Gulzar (athletes); Naveed Afzal (team official).
