Asked if he believes an end to the war is near, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said Pakistan’s leadership is “at it”, referring to the country’s diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.

“As I said, our leadership is at it, and I said we expressed our gratitude to everyone who allowed our leadership to take this boat forward and take it through the finishing line,” he tells Fox Business. “As you know, better than anyone else, that it’s not done until it’s done.”

He notes that Pakistan is not the only country affected by the war, but that its impacts are being felt across the world.

“Because the energy infrastructure has been hit, even if the secession happens, it might take weeks, not months, or even years, to get back to normal,” Aurangzeb says.

The country’s strength lies in its political and economic stability, not in fleeting moments of diplomatic success.
