In an interview with Fox Business, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says the US-Iran ceasefire is intact and “gives us all hope and confidence” that diplomacy is being given a chance.
Asked what outcome will emerge from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meetings with regional allies, Aurangzeb says, “I think it’s important that we bring everyone together, it’s properly syndicated, because as you can imagine, there are a number of stakeholders here.”
He adds, “I think that’s where these efforts are underway, that by the time we do get to a second round — and let’s all hope we do get to a second round — that it’s well-syndicated with all the key partners that are involved at this point in time.”
