Hezbollah warns of widening rift over Lebanon-Israel talks, calls for full ceasefire, lawmaker says

Lebanon’s Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah says that a rift in Lebanon could widen over the government’s decision to negotiate with Israel, urging authorities to reconsider the move, Reuters reports.
He added that the group wants a comprehensive ceasefire, not a return to near-daily Israeli strikes and assassinations as seen after the November 2024 ceasefire deal.
