Lebanon’s ambassador to the United States Nada Hamadeh Moawad has called for a ceasefire during “constructive” talks with Israeli officials in Washington, AFP reports citing a statement from her.
The “preparatory meeting was constructive”, the envoy’s statement says, adding that she “called for a ceasefire” and the return of displaced people to their homes, and also emphasised “the full sovereignty of the state” over all Lebanese territory.
