Two crushed to death

SUKKUR, June 28: A speeding bus crushed two men to death and seriously injured the third when they were waiting for a bus at the New Bus terminal early on Wednesday. Reports said that Bakht Ali Jaffery, 25, and Karim Dad, 14, were killed instantly and Sarwar Jaffery sustained serious injuries when a speedy bus ran over them.

The injured was admitted to a nearby hospital. The bus driver fled with the vehicle after the accident.

RI: The civil judge and judicial magistrate-III sentenced on Wednesday Ghulam Hyder Mahar to one year’s rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs5,000 or further two months’ simple imprisonment in case of default.
