The Spanish Embassy in Qatar says it is monitoring the situation closely and has advised Spanish nationals to “have water, food, and medicine on hand to allow you to remain safely at home for several days if necessary”.
“We also urge you to pay attention to any alerts issued by the Qatari authorities through official channels, information published in reliable media outlets, and messages from the embassy through its usual channels,” it has said in a statement.
