Draft UNSC resolution on Strait of Hormuz not adopted

A draft resolution to address the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has not been adopted, after a permanent member of the UN Security Council voted against it.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, who is chairing the meeting, says 11 members voted in favour, with two votes against and two abstentions.

China voted against the resolution.
