Following a steep increase in the price of fuel, massive queues have emerged at fuel stations across Pakistan, Al Jazeera’s Osama bin Javaid reports.

“This is one of the steepest price hikes in recent years in Pakistan. Petrol [is] up by 42 per cent, diesel [is] up by more than 50pc, and that is why long queues are forming in petrol stations,” he reports.

Visuals broadcast on the channel show large queues of cars and motorcycles at the pumps.

“How will this be managed?” a motorcyclist asks. “I have to spend more than $200 a month on petrol. How do I feed my family?”
