The search for a second crew member of a US fighter jet is ongoing, after the aircraft was shot down over southern Iran and the first pilot was rescued, a source with knowledge of the situation has told Axios.
According to the report, sources have said that the two crew members — a pilot and a weapons systems officer — “ejected safely after being struck by Iranian fire”. It adds that the downed aircraft was an F-15.
