Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has questioned whether threats by US President Donald Trump to bomb Iran “mean anything other than a massive war crime”.
“This was the question I asked my Finnish counterpart, who is a jurist,” he adds, referring to a phone call with Finnish President Alexander Stubb a day earlier.
“History is full of those who paid a heavy price for their silence in the face of criminals,” Pezeshkian adds.
Trump earlier this week threatened to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Age” during a primetime White House address.
