Heroin seized, 2 held

RAWALPINDI, June 26: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday foiled a drug smuggling bid at Islamabad airport and seized 2kg heroin and arrested two persons. ANF Joint Director Rawalpindi Lt-Col Wasif Sajjad said the ANF staff spotted two passengers acting suspiciously while the check-in for Urumqi-bound flight (CZ-6008) was in progress.

The passengers identified as Shireen Zada, a resident of Nowshera, and Ameer Mohammad, a resident of Nowshera, were taken into custody.

During search, the ANF staff recovered 2kg heroin concealed in their briefcases.
