Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has confirmed to Al Jazeera that messages have been exchanged with the US either directly or through friends in the region.
However, he says this does not mean Iran is in negotiations with Washington.
“I receive messages from Witkoff directly, as before, and this does not mean that we are in negotiations”, he says.
