Candidates caught using unfair means

LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Monday caught eight candidates using unfair means (cheating) during annual matriculation examination 2026.

BISE Controller of Examinations Touseef-ur-Rehman conducted surprise visits to various examination centres across the region.

During the inspections, five candidates were caught red-handed using unfair means.

Consequently, UMC proceedings were initiated against the candidates at Govt Associate College, Narang Mandi, Khadija-tul-Kubra Education System, Raiwind, and Govt High School Kot Sardar Muhammad Khan Kasur, Govt girls Higher Secondary School Liani (Kasur) while three candidates were apprehended for using forged roll number slips. These candidates were identified through the Board’s advanced QR Code scanning system.

Mr Rehman said that a school teacher was allegedly involved in issuing these forged slips in exchange for bribes.
