Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted Pakistan’s “constructive role in promoting de-escalation and regional stability while discussing the regional situation” with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, the PM’s Office says.

The Chinese envoy called on the premier at the PM House in Islamabad, where Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, SAPM Tariq Fatemi and the foreign secretary were also present.

The prime minister emphasised continued close coordination at all levels on issues of mutual interest while reaffirming the enduring Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
