Acid attacker arrested

BAHAWALPUR, June 24: The Uch Sharif police claimed on Saturday to have arrested the man who sprinkled acid on his sister-in-law from Rahim Yar Khan airport from where he wanted to flee to Dubai.

According to sources, the Uch Sharif police, on a tip-off, rushed to the Rahim Yar Khan airport and arrested Riaz who, along with his father Abdul Aziz, sprayed acid on his sister-in-law Rabia over property dispute. Rabia, a widow, suffered burns and was hospitalized.

The Uch Sharif police had already held Abdul Aziz.
