The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has called an “extraordinary” meeting to discuss the Strait of Hormuz, AFP reports.
The session will address the “impacts on shipping and seafarers of the situation in the Arabian Sea, the Sea of Oman and the Gulf region, particularly in and around the Strait of Hormuz”, according to a statement by the IMO.
It will be held from March 18-19 at IMO headquarters in London.
