LAHORE: FG Polo secured a narrow 5–4 win over Diamond/Master Paints in a hard-fought final league encounter of the National Open Polo Championship for the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup at the Lahore Polo Club on Friday.

Despite the loss, both teams have qualified for the main final on Sunday, while BN Polo was eliminated from the title race following two consecutive defeats.

FG Polo’s victory was powered by a stellar performance from Raja Mikayial Sami, who struck four goals. He was supported by Amin Rehman, who added one goal. For Diamond/Master Paints, Sufi Haroon bin Haris scored twice, while Raja Temur Nadeem and Facundo Retamar con­t­ributed one goal each.
