PESHAWAR: The 12-day ABS Developers Nati­onal T20 Cup starts at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Saturday with the 10 regional teams vying for the title currently held by Lahore Blues.

The defending champions are drawn in Group ‘B’ alongside Abbottabad, Karachi Blues, Multan and Sialkot regions.

The tournament begins with two Group ‘A’ fixtures — Lahore Whites take on Peshawar in the while Faisalabad face Karachi Whites. The fifth outfit of Group ‘A’ are Bahawalpur.

A prize money of Rs8.5 million will be up for grabs with the winners to receive Rs5 million and runners-up Rs2.5 million.

Best batter, bowler, wicket-keeper and player of the tournament will earn Rs100,000 each. Player-of-the-match will get Rs25,000 while player-of-the-final will be given Rs50,000.
