QUETTA: A man shot and killed his sister, brother-in-law, and their two-year-old son over a court marriage in the Sariab area of the provincial capital on Monday.
Police said the accused barged into the house of his sister near the Saddam Railway Crossing in the Sariab Mills area and opened indiscriminate fire, killing Sakina Bibi, her husband Muhammad Yaqoob, and their two-year-old son.
“The deceased received multiple bullet injuries and succumbed on the spot,” police officials said, adding that the couple’s other child remained unhurt in the shooting.
Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to the hospital. The initial investigation revealed that Sakina Bibi, a resident of Noshki, had fallen in love with Muhammad Yaqoob. The couple later married through the court and shifted to Quetta, where they were living in a house. Over the last four years, they had two sons.
Meanwhile, three people were burned to death after two oil-laden vehicles collided and caught fire in the Nag area of Panjgur district on Monday.
