KHAIRPUR, June 19: Sindh Minister for Communications and Works Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashidi has urged the district nazim of Khairpur to help resolve a dispute between Maitlo and Kandhro communities.

The minister said while talking to newsmen on Sunday night that the nazim should visit the two communities and persuade them to bury the hatchet.

He dismissed reports of differences between Chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and the MQM. He said that efforts were being made to provide water to the farmers at tail-ends of canals in the district.

To a question, he said that President Gen Pervez Musharraf would soon lay foundation stone for the bridge connecting Khairpur with Larkana over the Indus river.
