HYDERABAD, Feb 8: The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (IMCS), University of Sindh, is holding a national conference on computer science on Feb 16 at the Allama I.I. Kazi campus, Jamshoro.

Experts of computer science will deliver lectures in three technical sessions of the conference

The vice chancellor, University of Sindh, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, will inaugurate the conference while Dr Afaq Hyder, vice chancellor, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, will deliver a keynote address in the inaugural session.

Dr Abbas Zaidi, dean, faculty of sciences, Jinnah University, Karachi, Dr Abdul Qadeer Rajput, dean, faculty of engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, and Dr Noor Mustafa Shaikh, dean, faculty of natural sciences, University of Sindh, will preside over different sessions.

RECRUITMENT: Under instructions from the Sindh government about recruitment in the police department, the district police officer, Hyderabad, Moazzam Jah, has finalized the recruitment programme and issued a schedule in this respect.

In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that the recruitment would be done strictly on merit under the supervision of a special committee and representative of the Zila Nazim and others.

The physical examination would be conducted on Feb 15, written examination on Feb 16 and interviews would be conducted on Feb 17.

The candidates have been asked to present themselves at the police headquarter with original documents at 8:00am on the above dates.
