Jos Buttler and Phil Salt walked onto the pitch to begin the chase for England, with Shaheen Shah Afridi opening the attack for Pakistan.

He dismissed Salt on his first ball, with the latter being caught behind by wicket keeper Usman Khan.

Next man in was Harry Brook, who knocked Shaheen’s second delivery towards the mid-on fielder but could not add any runs to the scoreboard.

Brook again hit the ball towards mid-wicket for a double of Shaheen’s third delivery.

A dot off the fourth ball was followed by a single, with strike passed to Buttler, who was beaten on the over’s last ball.
