KHUZDAR: A 3.5-magnitude earthquake was felt in a vast area of Kalat district on Saturday, causing panic among residents of the district headquarters.

The tremor struck at around 4:42pm, prompting people to rush into open spaces. According to the Met Office, the quake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometres, with its epicentre located about 45 kilometres south of Kalat.

No loss of life or property damage was reported.
