PESHAWAR, June 17: About 60 district and tehsil councillors of Swat, Malakand, Dir (Upper and Lower), Shangla and Bunir were trained in a four-day workshop held under the Women Political School Project.
NWFP Social Welfare and Women Development Secretary Sultan Mehmood Khattak, who was the chief guest, said more than 4,000 women councillors would be trained under the project.
He said the participants would be guided about their legal and constitutional rights, the local government system and preparation and approval of budget, besides responsibilities of monitoring committees.—APP
