DADU: The tortured body of a woman, who had gone missing from the Jamshoro Thermal Power House area, was recovered from a nearby hilly region.

According to details, local villagers spotted the body in the hilly area and informed police. Officials of the Jamshoro’s A-Section police station reached the spot where the victim’s relatives identified the body with the help of her clothing.

Police officials said the woman was bludgeoned to death.

The deceased was identified as Sabreen, daughter of Nizamuddin Pathan, who had been reported missing earlier. According to her family, they originally belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and had come to the area to sell cloth.

Her relatives stated that they had gone to Kosa village in the hilly area for selling cloth. Sabreen entered a few houses for this purpose but did not return even after four hours. When the family approached the house where she had last gone, the residents allegedly refused to cooperate and behaved rudely, sending them away.

The police informed the family about the recovery of her body.

Jamshoro A-Section police took the body in custody and shifted it to the civil hospital for a post-mortem.
