MANSEHRA: Three people were killed when a Gilgit-Baltistan-bound car plunged into a deep ravine in Taras Banda area of Lower Kohistan on Friday.

“All the three inmates of the car who belonged to the Ghizar and Chilas districts died in the accident,” an official at the Lower Kohistan police control room told reporters.

The car was on way to Ghizar. The driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn, resulting in the car skidded off the Karakoram Highway and plunged into a deep ravine.

The police and residents rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to a nearby health facility.

According to the police control room in Lower Kohistan, the deceased were identified as Mohammad Afsar, Abdul Haseeb and Mohammad Umair, whose bodies were dispatched to Ghizar and Chilas areas of GB.
