QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Agriculture and Cooperative Mir Ali Hassan Zehri on late Tuesday night tendered his resignation from the provincial cabinet with an immediate effect.

In his resignation, Mr Zehri wrote, “Due to my inability to devote required time and attention to the Agriculture Ministry, I believe it would be inappropriate to continue in this role.

“I do not wish to fall short of the commitment made to the people of Balochistan, for whom effective service and responsibility must remain paramount.”

He requested the chief minister to accept his resignation.

The CM House later confirmed to Dawn that Mr Zehri’s resignation had been received.

Only a day earlier, PPP leader Ali Madad Jattak was sworn in as Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs.
