RAWALPINDI: Fire erupted in a residential building in Bahria Phase-7 on Saturday morning, but Rescue 1122 safely evacuated two persons.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, they received a call about a fire on the third floor of a residential building near Save Mart, Bahria Town Phase 7, Islamabad.

Emergency vehicles reached the spot. Two people were trapped and were rescued safely from the building. “The fire is likely to have started due to a short circuit in the electric panel. After firefighting, the fire was completely brought under control, and the emergency vehicles were sent back from the spot after completing the cooling process,” the official said.
