Girl murdered

BAHAWALPUR: An unidentified girl (22) was killed under mysterious circumstances and her body was burnt by unidentified suspects who threw it near Sammasatta railway track near Chak 8/BC in the limits of Baghdadul Jadid Police Station.

Police recovered the girl’s burnt body hidden under the bushes. Police claimed that it appeared that attempts were made to burn it completely. The body was sent to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Khurshead Bibi (60) was burnt at Nazirabad Colony in Bahawalpur city.

Rescuers said the victim was sitting near a gas stove at her home when her clothes caught fire, causing burns on her body and face. She was shifted to the BVH.

ACCIDENTS: Four persons, including mother and son, were killed in separate traffic accidents in Bahawalpur district .

According to the rescuers, two motorcycles collided head-on on Jhangra Road and a trailer coming behind ran over and killed Rubina Bibi (30)and her son Muneeb (3) while Riaz and Qari Javed suffered injuries.

In the second accident, four-year-old Aizal Fatima was killed by a speeding car when she was crossing the road at Labana Chowk. The car driver fled the scene. addar Police, registered a case against him.

In yet another incident, Sarfraz (25) was killed by a tractor-trolley near Kalanchawala Railway Station.
