RAWALPINDI: Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, Superintendent of Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, was among 12 senior officials of Punjab Prison Department who were reshuffled on Thursday.

Anjum (BS-19) has been transferred to Central Jail Faisalabad, while Sajid Baig (BS-19), superintendent Central Jail Faisalabad, has been appointed as the new superintendent of Adiala Jail.

The notification issued by the Punjab Home Department showed that a total of 12 jail officers across the province have been transferred.

According to the notification, Haq Nawaz (BS-18), superintendent district jail Mandi Bahauddin, has been appointed as Superintendent, District Jail Attock.

Ishtiaq Ahmad Gill, superintendent District Jail Attock, has been suspended and directed to report to the Inspectorate of Prisons, Punjab.

Tipu Sultan, superintendent sub-jail Shujabad, has been posted as Superintendent, District Jail Mandi Bahauddin, and Sohail Nabi Gill as Superintendent, District Jail Lodhran.

Similarly, Aftab Ahmad has been appointed as Superintendent, District Jail Vehari. Imran Naveed Ashraf as Additional Superintendent Central Jail Gujranwala and Ghulam Mohiuddin has been appointed as superintendent Sub-Jail Shujabad.

Furthermore, Saqib Ilahi (BS-17) has been posted as Deputy Superintendent (Development) Central Jail Faisalabad, Yasir Hassan as Deputy Superintendent (Executive) District Jail Toba Tek Singh. Mushtaq Ahmad (BS-17), deputy superintendent (executive) District Jail Toba Tak Singh has been posted as Deputy Superintendent (Judicial), District Jail Faisalabad.
