ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy and reviewed the ongoing renovation; besides, he gave necessary instructions to the commandant.

Mr Naqvi addressed the probationary ASPs. He said that plots will be allotted to the officers upon passing out. The current police batch will be trained according to international standards.

Probationary ASPs will be sent to Beijing, China, for a one-month training programme. He stressed that modern modules will be added to the ASPs’ training to align it with advanced requirements.

Steps will be taken to enhance the professional capability and practical skills of the officers. Special measures are being taken to ease the financial constraints of police officers.

The interior minister added that he wants every officer’s salary to improve.

He said that with the support of the National Police Foundation, modern facilities will be provided for officers. Promotion issues of officers will also be resolved.

The commandant of the National Police Academy briefed the interior minister on the academy’s affairs.

The deputy commandant, additional deputy commissioner of Islamabad, and other officials were also present. He also inspected the conference hall, dining hall, and other rooms of the National Police Academy.
